Ingredients

2 cups glutinous rice ( soak 4-6 hrs )
2 sausage , chinese , 2 links , sliced
1 chicken breast , boneless & skinless , sliced ( can use precooked chicken )
1/4 cup shrimp , dried , soaked 1 hr
1/4 onion , large chopped
2 scallions , chopped
2 shallots , sliced
2 tablespoons soy sauce
1 tablespoon oyster sauce
1/2 tablespoon sugar
2 teaspoons oil
2 -3 tablespoons water
Xoi Man is a popular and traditional Vietnamese sticky rice dish that is often served for breakfast, lunch or dinner. The glutinous rice in this dish is sticky and fragrant, while the Chinese sausage, chicken and dried shrimp provide a savory and salty flavour. Instructions

1.Rinse the soaked glutinous rice with fresh water and drain.
2.In a pan, heat the oil and fry the sliced shallots until golden brown.
3.Add the chicken and stir-fry for 2 minutes.
4.Add the Chinese sausage and dried shrimp, sauté for another 2 minutes.
5.Add the scallions, onion and continue to sauté for another minute. Stir in soy sauce, oyster sauce and sugar.
6.Mix everything well and set aside.
7.In another pot or a rice cooker, add 2 cups of water and the soaked glutinous rice. Steam the rice for 15-20 minutes, until cooked and sticky.
8.Transfer the cooked rice to the pan with the sautéed ingredients, mix well.
9.Add a 2-3 tablespoons of water, cover and let it cook for another 5-10 minutes over a low heat, stirring occasionally until all flavours are absorbed and the rice becomes sticky. Serve hot.
