Ingredients

1 lb chicken breast
4 cups chicken broth
3 cups water
1 onion, chopped
3 carrots, sliced
3 celery stalks, sliced
2 garlic cloves, minced
2 bay leaves
1 tsp dried thyme
Salt and pepper to taste
2 cups egg noodles

Instructions

1.In a large pot, add chicken broth, water, chicken breast, onion, carrots, celery, garlic, bay leaves, thyme, salt and pepper.
2.Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and let simmer for 30 minutes.
3.Remove chicken from the pot and shred.
4.Add egg noodles to the pot and cook until tender.
5.Add shredded chicken back to the pot and serve.
