1 lb chicken breast | |
4 cups chicken broth | |
3 cups water | |
1 onion, chopped | |
3 carrots, sliced | |
3 celery stalks, sliced | |
2 garlic cloves, minced | |
2 bay leaves | |
1 tsp dried thyme | |
Salt and pepper to taste | |
2 cups egg noodles |
1. | In a large pot, add chicken broth, water, chicken breast, onion, carrots, celery, garlic, bay leaves, thyme, salt and pepper. |
2. | Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and let simmer for 30 minutes. |
3. | Remove chicken from the pot and shred. |
4. | Add egg noodles to the pot and cook until tender. |
5. | Add shredded chicken back to the pot and serve. |
