Ingredients

1 kg chicken , cut into big pcs with skin left on
1 sour lime , juice from ( or to taste )
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
2 potatoes , peeled and sliced
salt
6 green chilies
6 cloves garlic
2 green cardamom pods
2 cloves
200 g coriander leaves
1 inch gingerroot
2 tablespoons white vinegar
1 teaspoon sugar
1/2 teaspoon cumin seed
1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder

Instructions

1.Use 1 tablespoon of oil to fry sliced potatoes until golden brown. Drain and keep aside.
2.Grind together coriander, ginger, garlic, green chilies, cumin seeds, turmeric powder, cloves, cardamom, vinegar and sugar to form a paste.
3.Heat oil in a pan and add the paste into it. Fry for a minute and then add chicken pieces.
4.Cook on low heat and stir occasionally until chicken is tender, for approximately 30 minutes.
5.Add roasted potatoes and cook for a further 5 minutes before serving.
