The Chicken Breasts Stuffed With Italian Sausage and Breadcrumbs is a delicious and hearty dish that is perfect for dinner with family or friends. The recipe starts with a fresh chicken breast that is stuffed with a hearty mixture of sausage, breadcrumbs, and spices. It is then baked to perfection, resulting in a mouth-watering and succulent meal. The sausage adds a rich depth of flavor, while the breadcrumbs create a nice texture and act as a binding agent. This recipe is easy to modify by adding different types of stuffing or herbs to create a dish that is perfect for your taste buds. Serve with a side of roasted vegetables or a salad for a complete and balanced meal.

Instructions

.Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat.
.Add the sausage and cook for about 5-7 minutes, breaking it up into small pieces with a spoon as it cooks.
.Add the onion and celery to the pan and continue cooking until the veggies are soft and the sausage is cooked through.
.Add the white wine to the pan, scraping the bottom to loosen any browned bits. Cook for about 3-4 minutes or until the wine is reduced by half.
.Remove the pan from the heat and transfer the sausage mixture to a large bowl. Add the bread, garlic, parsley, 1/4 teaspoon of salt, and black pepper. Mix well.
.Preheat the oven to 375 degrees.
.Place the chicken breasts on a cutting board and using a sharp knife, cut horizontally through the center of each breast, being careful not to cut all the way through. Open the breast like a book and season the inside with the remaining 1/4 teaspoon of salt.
.Spoon the sausage mixture onto one side of the chicken breast and close it back up. Secure it with toothpicks, if needed. Repeat for the second breast.
.Coat a baking dish with cooking spray and place the stuffed chicken breasts in the dish. Pour the chicken broth over the top.
.Bake for about 30-40 minutes or until the chicken is cooked through and the stuffing is hot.
.Let the chicken rest for a few minutes before slicing and serving.
