4 boneless chicken breast halves

Instructions

1.Preheat oven to 375°F.
2.On a plate, combine flour, paprika, salt, and pepper.
3.In a separate bowl, beat egg with milk.
4.Dip each chicken breast in the flour mixture, then in the egg mixture, and coat again in the flour mixture.
5.In a large skillet over medium-high heat, melt 2 tablespoons of butter with 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil.
6.Brown the chicken breasts on both sides, about 5-7 minutes per side.
7.Transfer chicken to a baking dish.
8.In the same skillet, melt 2 tablespoons of butter.
9.Add apples and mushrooms, sauté for 7-9 minutes, or until softened.
10.Spoon apple and mushroom mixture over the chicken breasts.
11.In the same skillet, melt 1/4 cup of butter.
12.Add onion and garlic, sauté for 3-5 minutes, or until softened.
13.Add flour, salt, and pepper, stir until smooth.
14.Gradually stir in sour cream.
15.Cook until thickened, but do not boil.
16.Pour sour cream mixture over the chicken and apple mixture.
17.Sprinkle Swiss cheese over the top of the dish.
18.Bake, uncovered, for 25-30 minutes, or until chicken is cooked through and cheese is melted and bubbly.
