Meatballs are a popular dish in many cultures, and this recipe puts a cheesy twist on the classic meatballs. The combination of ground beef and pork makes the meatballs extra juicy and tender, and the cheese center adds an extra layer of flavor and creaminess. The tomato sauce used in this recipe is a simple marinara sauce, but you can also use your own favorite pasta sauce or spicy arrabiata sauce. The Cheese-Stuffed Meatballs can be served on top of pasta, rice, or even on their own as a party appetizer.

Instructions

1.In a large mixing bowl, combine ground beef and pork, breadcrumbs, parsley, eggs, garlic, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
2.Take about 2 tablespoons of the ground beef mixture and create a ball. Press it down in the center to create a small well and place a small cube of cheese in it.
3.Cover the cheese with the edges of the ground beef mixture and roll it into a meatball.
4.Preheat a large skillet with olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the meatballs and fry until crispy and browned on all sides.
5.Add the tomato sauce to the skillet and gently stir to coat the meatballs. Cover the skillet and let the sauce simmer for about 20 minutes or until the meatballs are cooked through.
6.Serve hot with grated parmesan cheese and some fresh parsley for garnish.

CONS

The recipe uses a combination of ground beef and pork, which means it might not be suitable for people who prefer to avoid pork.
The meatballs are fried using olive oil, making them high in fat and calories.
Additionally, the tomato sauce used in this recipe may contain added sugar and salt.

HEALTH & BENEFITS

Despite being high in fat and calories, the Cheese-Stuffed Meatballs can be a good source of protein and other important nutrients. Ground beef is an excellent source of iron, zinc, and vitamin B12, while pork is a good source of thiamine, niacin, and vitamin B6.
