1 lb tomatoes , slice & crush ( approximately )
2 tablespoons tomato paste
1 beef bouillon cube
1 dash garlic powder

10 -12 uncooked lasagna noodles
1 tablespoon butter
3 tablespoons all-purpose flour
2 cups milk
1 1/4 cups shredded mozzarella cheese

Instructions

1.Cook the lasagna noodles according to the package directions, then drain and set it aside.
2.In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until browned and cooked through. Drain any excess grease.
3.In a saucepan over medium heat, melt 1 tablespoon of butter. Then add onions and cook until they become soft.
4.Add sliced and crushed tomatoes to the onions and cook for about 5 minutes. Add the beef bouillon cube, garlic powder, dried basil, salt, and pepper.
5.Stir in the tomato paste and cook for 1-2 minutes.
6.In a separate saucepan, melt 1 tablespoon of butter over medium heat. Then whisk in the flour until combined.
7.Gradually add the milk to the flour-butter mixture, stirring constantly until the sauce thickens. Whisk in the nutmeg and season with salt and pepper to taste.
8.Preheat the oven to 375°F.
9.In a 9x13 inch baking dish, spread a layer of meat sauce on the bottom. Then add a layer of lasagna noodles followed by a layer of sauce, and then a layer of shredded mozzarella cheese.
10.Repeat layering until all ingredients are used up. The top layer should be the shredded mozzarella cheese.
11.Cover the dish with aluminum foil and bake in the preheated oven for 25 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 25-30 minutes or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
