Instructions

1.In a blender, combine the tomatillos, serrano chile peppers, garlic, and water, and blend until smooth.

3.In the same pot, cook the steak squares in the bacon fat until browned then add the chicken bouillon granules and the blended tomatillo mixture. Bring to a boil, reduce heat to low, and simmer for 1 hour.
4.Drain the pinto beans and mash them until creamy, then add them to the stew along with the chopped onion. Simmer for an additional 15 minutes.
5.Season with ground black pepper to taste.
6.Serve hot with lime wedges and chopped cilantro on top.
