Ingredients

1/4 cup lime juice , plus
2 tablespoons lime juice
1/4 cup olive oil , plus
2 tablespoons olive oil
salt & pepper
2 dashes cumin
2 dashes garlic powder
4 lean frozen beef burger patties , thawed
2 bunches green onions , trimmed to about 3-4-inch long
1/4 cup mayonnaise
1/4 cup thick salsa ( I used Pace Chipotle Thick & Chunky Salsa )
1 avocado , peeled and thinly sliced
4 buns
Carne Asada Burgers include a juicy beef patty either grilled or cooked to your preference. It's seasoned with a zesty citrus and spice marinade, then it's topped with fresh avocado slices, char-grilled onions, and thick salsa sauce. This dish is perfect for summer-time grilling or for a quick and delicious dinner. It’s an ideal meal for meat lovers and adventurous eaters who are always looking for an extra burst of flavor in their burgers.

Instructions

1.In a small bowl, whisk together lime juice, olive oil, salt, pepper, cumin, and garlic powder.
2.Brush the green onions with the mixture, reserving some of the mixture to brush the burgers, and set aside remaining mixture for later use.
3.Preheat your grill or grill pan on medium heat. Grill the patties for 5 minutes on each side, brushing the remaining lime mixture onto them while grilling.
4.Add the green onions to the grill for the last few minutes of grilling until they're slightly charred.
5.In a separate small bowl, mix the mayonnaise and thick salsa. Spread the mixture onto the burger buns.
6.Top the patties with avocado slices and green onions, then sandwich between the burger buns.
7.Serve and enjoy!
