8 ounces dried whole green peas
2 ounces fresh breadcrumbs
1 onion , finely chopped
1/2 teaspoon mixed herbs
salt and pepper , to taste
1 ounce butter

Instructions

1.Soak the dried whole green peas in water for at least 6 hours or overnight. Drain them and transfer to a large pot.

3.Reduce the heat to medium-low and let it simmer for about 1 hour or until the peas are tender but not mushy.
4.Drain the peas completely, then mash them with a fork or potato masher until they are smooth.
5.Add the onion, breadcrumbs, mixed herbs, salt, and pepper to the mashed peas. Mix well.
6.Shape the mixture into small patties or balls.
7.Melt the butter in a non-stick skillet over medium heat. Add the patties or balls and cook until golden-brown on both sides, for about 3 minutes per side.
