Ingredients

1 medium onion
3 tomatoes , pureed
2 capsicums , cubed
2 cardamom
1 inch cinnamon
4 -5 cloves
1 bay leaf
1 teaspoon chili powder
1/4 teaspoon turmeric
1/4 teaspoon garam masala
4 cashews
1 teaspoon fennel
1/2 teaspoon popy seeds
1 teaspoon salt
2 tablespoons oil
1 teaspoon ginger-garlic paste
1/2 cup water

Instructions

1.Heat oil in a pan and add in whole spices like cinnamon, cardamom, cloves and bay leaf.

7.Meanwhile, add cashews, poppy seeds and fennel seeds in a blender and make a fine paste by adding water.
8.Once the capsicum is soft, add the blended paste to the pan and mix well.
9.Add half cup of water and let it simmer for 7-8 minutes or till the desired consistency is achieved.
10.Add garam masala and mix well. Capsicum Gravy is ready to be served!
