Ingredients

1 package instant cappuccino mix
1 tablespoon water
3/4 cup butter or 3/4 cup margarine , softened
1/2 cup powdered sugar
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 cup hazelnuts , chopped
1 ounce semisweet chocolate
1 teaspoon shortening
Cappuccino-Hazelnut Shortbread is a twist on traditional shortbread, combining a sweet cappuccino flavor with the crunch of hazelnuts. Instructions

1.Preheat oven to 325°F.
2.Dissolve cappuccino mix in water.
3.In a large bowl, beat butter and powdered sugar together until blended.
4.Gradually stir in flour and cappuccino mix until mixture comes together.
5.Stir in hazelnuts.
6.Divide dough in half.
7.Roll each half of dough into a log about 1 1/2 inches in diameter.
8.Place logs on ungreased baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
9.Flatten each log slightly until it is about 2 inches wide.
10.Bake for 15-20 minutes or until lightly golden.
11.Remove from oven and cool on pans for about 5 minutes.
12.Transfer logs to wire racks and let cool for about 5 minutes.
13.In a small bowl, combine chocolate and shortening.
14.Microwave on medium-high for 1 minute, or until melted and smooth.
15.Drizzle chocolate mixture over logs.
16.Let stand until chocolate hardens.
17.Slice logs into 1/2 inch slices and serve.
