Ingredients

5 tomatoes
2 medium onions
3 jalapeno peppers
2 garlic cloves
1 1/2 avocados , peeled and chopped
1/4 - 1/2 cup chopped fresh cilantro

Camino Real Salsa, or Salsa Roja, is a versatile Mexican condiment that can spice up any meal with its tangy, spicy, and zesty flavors. Roasted tomatoes, onions, garlic, and jalapenos give the salsa a smoky flavor, while fresh avocado and cilantro add creaminess and freshness to the dish. Instructions

1.Preheat the broiler to high.
2.Quarter the tomatoes and onions. Place them on a baking sheet skin side up.
3.Add garlic cloves, jalapeno peppers to the baking sheet.
4.Broil for 10 minutes or until the skin of all ingredients is charred. Remove from the oven and let it cool down.
5.Remove the skin of the tomatoes, jalapeno, and garlic.
6.Add all the ingredients to a food processor and pulse until roughly chopped, and dices vegetables are visible.
7.Add cilantro and salt to taste and pulse again for another 10 seconds.
8.Transfer the salsa to a bowl and add the chopped avocado. Mix well and serve with tortilla chips.
