1 medium onion , chopped
2 tablespoons butter
1 garlic clove , crushed
3/4 cup uncooked raw rice
1/2 lb ground beef or 1/2 lb veal
1/2 lb ground pork
1 teaspoon salt

1 whole head cabbage
2 cups beef broth
1 can cream of mushroom soup

Instructions

1.Preheat oven to 350°F.

4.Remove core from cabbage and place in boiling water for about 3 minutes to loosen leaves.
5.Remove cabbage and let cool.
6.Fill each cabbage leaf with meat mixture, roll up, and place in baking dish.
7.In a separate bowl, mix beef broth and cream of mushroom soup and pour over cabbage rolls.
8.Cover dish with foil and bake for 1 1/2 hours.
9.Remove foil and bake for an additional 30 minutes.
10.Let cool for a few minutes before serving.
