Ingredients

1 head cabbage
600 g ground pork
1 can Spam or ( 7 ounce ) can chopped ham
2 stalks onion scallions ( thinly sliced )
1 egg
salt and pepper
1 medium yellow onion ( quartered )
1 cinnamon sticks
4 cloves
4 -6 peppercorns
1 can campbells chicken soup
1 small nutmeg , seed grated
Cabbage Rolls Stew is a classic Malaysian Eurasian dish that's often enjoyed during special occasions and celebrations. Instructions

1.Bring a large pot of salted water to boil.
2.Remove the core of the cabbage head, and carefully separate the leaves.
3.Boil the cabbage leaves for approximately 2-3 minutes, or until they're pliable.
4.In a bowl, mix the ground pork, canned spam or ham, thinly sliced onion scallions, egg, salt and pepper until well combined.
5.Use approximately 1/4 cup of the mixture for each cabbage leaf, rolling them up tightly and securing with toothpicks.
6.In a large pot, add the quartered medium yellow onion, cinnamon sticks, whole cloves, peppercorns, grated nutmeg, and campbells chicken soup.
7.Arrange the cabbage rolls on top of the soup mixture, and add enough water to come up to the level of the cabbage rolls.
8.Cover the pot and let the stew simmer for approximately 45 minutes to an hour, or until the cabbage is tender. Serve hot with rice.
