Instructions

.Begin by prepping all the ingredients, including chopping the onion, slicing the mushroom, and cutting the core out of the cabbage and then slicing it into thin strips.
.Heat up a large skillet over medium-high heat and add the butter to it. Once the butter has melted and begun to bubble, add the sausage and onion to the pan. Let the sausage cook for approximately 5 minutes or until browned on all sides, and the onion has softened.
.Add the garlic, mushrooms, season salt, Worcestershire sauce, balsamic vinegar, and chopped tomatoes to the skillet and stir the mixture well. Let this cook for approximately 2-3 minutes until everything is combined and the vegetables have softened slightly.
.Add the pierogies to the skillet, followed by two cups of water, the beer, and the cabbage. Cover the skillet and let everything simmer for 15 minutes, or until the pierogies and cabbage are tender. Stir the mixture occasionally to prevent it from burning.
.Serve the dish hot, garnished with parsley or fresh herbs of your choice if desired.
