Ingredients

250 g flour
1 1/2 dl water
300 g minced meat
1 onion , minced
2 garlic cloves , minced
3 -5 tablespoons water
salt
pepper
caraway seed
Buuz is one of the most popular dumpling dishes in Mongolia consisting of minced meat, onion, and garlic, wrapped in flour dough. It is a traditional Mongolian dish often consumed as a celebratory meal and is served in both formal and informal settings. Buuz is easy to prepare, and its taste can be adjusted to suit one's tastes by adding different types of spices. It can also be served with a variety of sauces to enhance the flavor.

Instructions

1.In a large mixing bowl, combine flour, warm water, and salt. Knead until dough forms. Set aside for 30 minutes to rest.
2.In another mixing bowl, combine minced meat, minced onion, minced garlic, water, caraway seed, salt, and pepper. Mix well until all ingredients are well combined.
3.Dust working surface with flour. Roll the dough into a long tube and slice into small portions.
4.Flatten each portion into a round wrapper with a rolling pin.
5.Add a tablespoon of filling to each wrapper. Fold the wrapper over and seal the edges and then pinch them. Be sure there is no air inside.
6.Boil water in a large pot. Steam the dumplings for about 20-25 minutes or until it's thoroughly cooked.
7.Serve with soy sauce or any desired dipping sauce.
