Instructions

1.Melt the butter in a small pot over medium heat and mix in the corn syrup and brown sugar until smooth.
2.Pour the butter mixture into a 9x13 inch baking dish, spreading it evenly over the bottom of the dish.
3.Toast the bread slices and layer them in the baking dish over the butter mixture. Sprinkle the pecans over the top, if using.
4.In a bowl, mix the eggs, heavy cream, honey, and cinnamon, and pour the mixture over the bread and pecans.
5.Cover and refrigerate the dish for at least 8 hours (ideally overnight).
6.Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
7.Bake the French toast for 45-50 minutes, or until golden brown.
8.Serve hot with maple syrup and fresh fruit, if desired.
