Ingredients

4 pieces cod ( or haddock )
1 sprig fresh parsley , finely chopped . ( keeping some aside for garnish )
4 -6 large potatoes
deep frying oil
1 cup flour
1 teaspoon salt
1 egg
1 cup dark beer ( Guinness is best but any dark beer will work )

Instructions

8.Remove the fish from the oil and drain off any excess oil on paper towels.
9.Fry the potatoes in the same oil for around 5-8 minutes until golden brown.
10.Drain the potatoes on paper towels to remove excess oil.
