1/4 cup ripe black olives , pitted and sliced
3 tablespoons all-purpose flour
3 tablespoons butter , softened
1 1/2 teaspoons salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

1.Place garlic, bay leaves, peppercorns, cloves, juniper berries, thyme, marjoram, fennel seed, and wine in a slow cooker.

3.Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add beef and bacon, cook until browned, and add tomatoes, beef broth, and olives.
4.Pour the meat mixture into the slow cooker and stir to combine with the wine and vegetables.
