Ingredients

1 kg chicken thigh fillet , cut into strips
1/2 lime , juice of
1 tablespoon crushed garlic
1 medium onion , finely chopped
1 can diced tomatoes
1 tablespoon peanut oil
1 teaspoon shrimp paste
1/2 cup coconut milk
1 teaspoon crushed ginger
1/2 bunch coriander leaves
2 tablespoons crushed cashews
200 g peeled prawns , raw
chopped chile ( optional )
salt & pepper , to taste
Brazilian Braised Chicken and Prawns is a delicious and richly flavored dish that originates from Brazil. It is a protein-packed meal which is best served with rice or bread. Instructions

1.Marinate the chicken strips in lime juice, garlic, salt and pepper for at least 30 minutes.
2.Heat peanut oil in a deep skillet and sauté the onion until it is soft and translucent.
3.Add in the shrimp paste and crushed ginger, stirring frequently for 2 minutes.
4.Add in the diced tomatoes and cook over medium heat for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
5.Pour in the coconut milk and stir in the coriander leaves. Reduce heat to low and simmer for 15 minutes. Add in the cashews and let the curry simmer for another 5 minutes.
6.Stir in the raw prawns and cook for another 5 minutes until they are pink and cooked through.
