Ingredients

4 lamb chops
3 carrots , chopped in half inch circles
1 large onion , chopped in chunks
1 liter French onion soup , in powder form ( we wo n't be making 1L of soup , just the entire sachet with 2 cups of water , I needed to state a size )
2 cups boiling water
1 can diced tomatoes
1 tablespoon minced garlic
1 tablespoon soy sauce
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon pepper
2 tablespoons butter

Instructions

1.Preheat oven to 350°F.

4.Remove lamb chops from skillet and set aside.
5.In the same skillet, saute onions and carrots until onions are translucent and soft.
6.Add minced garlic and continue cooking for another 2 minutes.
7.Add French onion soup mix, diced tomatoes, soy sauce, salt, and pepper. Bring to a boil then simmer for 5 minutes.
8.Place lamb chops in a large baking dish and pour the onion soup mixture over them.
9.Cover with foil and bake in the oven for 1 hour.
10.Remove foil and bake for another 30 minutes to let the sauce thicken.
