Bow Ties with Sausage, Tomatoes and Cream is a hearty and satisfying pasta dish that is perfect for a comforting meal. The bow tie pasta is cooked to al dente and served with a sauce made from sweet Italian sausage, tomatoes, and cream. The dish is flavorful and indulgent, with a creamy texture and a hint of spice from the red pepper flakes. This recipe is quick and easy to make using simple ingredients that are readily available in most grocery stores. It’s a great option for a weeknight dinner or a weekend meal with family and friends.

Instructions

1.Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook the bow tie pasta according to package directions until it’s al dente and set aside.
2.In a large skillet, heat two tablespoons of olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the crumbled Italian sausage and red pepper flakes, breaking up the sausage as it cooks, until browned and cooked through, about 5-8 minutes. Use a slotted spoon to remove the sausage from the skillet and place it on a paper towel-lined plate to drain the excess fat.
3.In the same skillet, sauté the onion until it’s translucent, then add the minced garlic and cook for an additional minute. Add the chopped tomatoes, bring to a boil, and cook until the tomatoes start to break down, about 5-8 minutes.
4.Add the cooked sausage back to the skillet along with the heavy cream and salt. Bring the mixture to a boil and let it simmer for about 5 minutes, until the sauce starts to thicken.
5.Serve the bow tie pasta topped with the sausage, tomato, and cream sauce. Garnish with minced fresh parsley and enjoy!
