Ingredients

1/2 cup finely chopped bottlegourd , skinned
1/2 cup water
1 teaspoon mustard seeds or 1 teaspoon mustard paste
1/2 1/2 cup coconut paste or 1/2 cup milk
3/4 cup curds ( preferrably not sour )
3 curry leaves
3 dried red chilies
salt
1 tablespoon oil

Instructions

1.In a pan, heat oil and add mustard seeds OR mustard paste, curry leaves and dried red chilies.
2.Add finely chopped bottle gourd and water. Cook for about 7-8 minutes on medium heat.
3.Add coconut paste or milk, and cook for a further 2-3 minutes.
4.Turn off the heat and add curds, salt to taste, and mix well. Serve hot with rice or Indian bread.
