2 regular cans beets , sliced
1 regular can stewed tomatoes
1/2 quart buttermilk
2 tablespoons lemon juice
1/2 pint sour cream

Instructions

1.Drain and rinse the beets and add them to a pot with the can of stewed tomatoes.
2.Add enough water to cover the beets and tomatoes.

5.Once cooled, add buttermilk, lemon juice, and sour cream to the pot.
6.Puree the mixture using an immersion blender or transfer to a blender in batches.
