Boneless Pork Chops Milanese is an Italian-American dish that takes thin, boneless pork chops and coats them with a mixture of panko (Japanese-style bread crumbs) and freshly grated Parmesan cheese. The meat is then pan-seared and oven-baked until golden and crispy. The dish is served with lemon wedges, which adds a tart and zesty touch to the dish. The recipe was popularized in Milan, Italy, where it is served with a side of arugula salad, tomato, and hard-boiled eggs. It’s easy to recreate and only takes a few minutes to prepare, making it a perfect weeknight dinner option.

Instructions

1.Preheat oven to 425 degrees F (220 degrees C).
2.In a shallow dish, mix together panko and parmesan cheese. In a separate shallow dish, whisk eggs.
3.Season both sides of the pork chops with salt and pepper, then dip each chop into the egg mixture, followed by the panko mixture, pressing the breading in to coat.
4.Heat oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Once hot, add pork chops and cook until golden brown and crispy, roughly 3 minutes per side.
5.Transfer the skillet to the oven and bake for 5 to 7 minutes or until pork chops are just cooked through. Remove from the oven and let rest for 5 minutes before serving with lemon wedges.
