1 tablespoon olive oil
2 lbs beef , cubed
2 onions , chopped
4 garlic cloves
1 tablespoon flour
12 ounces beer
1 bouquet garni
salt and pepper , to taste

Instructions

1.Heat the olive oil in a large pot over medium heat. Add the cubed beef and brown on all sides, then remove from the pot and set aside.
2.Add the chopped onions to the pot and sauté until soft. Add the garlic cloves and sauté for another minute.
3.Sprinkle the flour over the onions and garlic, and cook for 2-3 minutes, stirring constantly.
4.Pour in the beer and add the bouquet garni. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and let simmer for 2-3 hours, stirring occasionally, until the beef is tender.
5.Season with salt and pepper to taste, then serve hot over mashed potatoes or with crusty bread.
