12 asparagus spears , ends snapped off , steamed but still crisp
12 slices white bread , home made style , crusts removed
4 ounces blue cheese
1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
1 egg , beaten
8 ounces cream cheese ( you can use lite but regular is better )
garlic powder
pepper
1/4 cup butter

Instructions

1.Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
2.Cut off crusts from white bread slices and roll them with rolling pin. In a separate mixing bowl, combine blue cheese, Worcestershire sauce, cream cheese, garlic powder and pepper. Combine until the filling is smooth.
3.Spread the filling over each bread slice, then add an asparagus spear on top of it. Roll up the bread around the asparagus spear.
4.Dip each rollup into beaten egg and coat properly.
5.Place them on a baking sheet, butter each roll and bake for 25 minutes or until golden brown and crispy.
