Biff Rydberg is a traditional Swedish dish that was named after the Swedish chemist, Jöns Jacob Berzelius's friend, Monsieur Biffi Rydberg. This delicious and hearty dish consists of tender, juicy beef nestled on a bed of crispy, golden-brown potatoes, and is garnished with fresh parsley and Worcestershire sauce. A perfect meal for any meat and potato lover, Biff Rydberg is both easy to make and satisfying. It is a potentially perfect meal for cold winter nights, as its high fat and calorie content keep one warm and full longer.

Instructions

1.In a large frying pan, heat 2 tablespoons of butter over medium-high heat.
2.Add the diced potatoes to the pan and cook until crispy and golden brown, stirring occasionally - approximately 10 minutes. Remove the potatoes from the pan and set aside.
3.In the same pan, melt the remaining 2 tablespoons of butter over medium-high heat.
4.Add the beef tenderloin cubes to the pan and season with salt and pepper to taste. Sear the beef cubes until browned on all sides and cooked through - approximately 5-7 minutes.
5.Add the minced onions to the pan with the beef and cook until the onions are softened and fragrant - approximately 2-3 minutes.
6.Return the cooked potatoes to the pan with the beef and onions, and mix everything together.
7.Serve the Biff Rydberg hot, garnished with chopped parsley and a drizzle of Worcestershire sauce.
