6 scallions , chopped
1/2 cup coarsely grated pear
3 tablespoons dark soy sauce
3 tablespoons sesame oil
1 tablespoon mirin ( Japanese sweet wine )
1 tablespoon brown sugar , or more to taste
4 cloves garlic , grated
1 teaspoon lime juice
1 teaspoon grated fresh ginger
1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes
1 pound beef top sirloin , thinly sliced
Sauce :
1/4 cup soy sauce
3 tablespoons water
2 tablespoons gochujang ( Korean chile paste )
1 teaspoon brown sugar
1 teaspoon mirin ( Japanese sweet wine )

Instructions

1.In a large mixing bowl, stir together the scallions, grated pear, dark soy sauce, sesame oil, mirin, brown sugar, grated garlic, lime juice, grated ginger, black pepper, and red pepper flakes.
2.Add the thinly sliced beef top sirloin to the mixture and stir well to coat the meat.
3.Let the meat marinate for at least 1 hour.
4.Heat a grill or grill pan over medium-high heat.
5.Remove the beef from the marinade and discard the excess marinade.
6.Grill the beef for 2-3 minutes per side.
7.In a small bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, water, gochujang, brown sugar, and mirin to make the sauce.
8.Slice the beef into thin pieces and serve with the sauce on the side.
