1 lb lean beef
1/3 cup oil
1/3 cup sake
1/2 cup water

12 radishes , sliced
Beef With Radishes (Stir-Fry) is a savory, Asian-inspired beef recipe that's perfect for a quick and easy weeknight dinner. The dish features thinly sliced beef and vibrant, crunchy radishes, which are tossed together in a delicious sauce made from soy sauce, garlic, and sugar. Instructions

1.In a small bowl, mix together 2 tablespoons of cornstarch and 4 teaspoons of oil to form a paste. Set aside.
2.In another small bowl, mix together 1/3 cup of soy sauce, 2 teaspoons of sugar, and 1 crushed garlic clove. Set aside.
3.Pat dry 1 lb of lean beef and slice it into thin pieces. Place beef into a large bowl, and add cornstarch paste (from step 1). Toss until each piece is coated.
4.In a wok or large frying pan, heat 1/3 cup of oil over high heat. When hot, add beef and stir-fry until browned. Remove beef with a slotted spoon and place it onto a plate.
5.In the same wok/pan, add 1/3 cup of sake and cook for 1 minute. Add sliced radishes and stir-fry for another minute.
6.In a small bowl, mix together 1/2 cup of water and 1/2 cup of sugar. Stir until sugar is dissolved.
7.Add soy sauce mixture (from step 2) and sugar water mixture (from step 6) to the wok/pan. Bring the sauce to a simmer and return the beef to the wok/pan, along with 2 1/2 tablespoons of cornstarch. Stir-fry everything together until sauce has thickened and beef is fully cooked.
8.Garnish with sliced scallions or sesame seeds, and serve over steamed rice.
