Ingredients

80 ml reduced-sodium soy sauce
2 tablespoons miso
1 1/2 tablespoons sushi seasoning
1 tablespoon finely grated fresh ginger
270 g udon noodles
3 teaspoons vegetable oil
500 g beef steaks , thinly sliced ( rump )
1 white onion , halved , thinly sliced
1 garlic clove , crushed
1 carrot , peeled , cut into matchsticks
3 cups shredded cabbage
2 tablespoons water
1 small shallot , thinly sliced , to serve
2 teaspoons sesame seeds , toasted , to serve
Beef, Miso and Sesame Noodles is a delicious and easy meal to make when you want a balanced Asian-inspired dish. Instructions

1.Combine soy sauce, miso, sushi seasoning and ginger in a bowl to make the marinade.
2.Cook udon noodles as per instructions on the package, then drain well.
3.Heat 2 teaspoons oil in a wok or pan over high heat. Add sliced beef and stir-fry for 2 minutes or until browned. Transfer the beef to a plate and set aside.
4.In the same wok or pan, add the remaining oil, onion and garlic, and stir-fry for 1 minute or until onion softens.
5.Add carrot and cabbage, stir-fry for another minute. Add water and combine well.
6.Add noodles and stir to combine. Then add the marinade sauce and stir-fry until well combined.
7.Return beef to wok and stir through. Serve with shallot and sesame seeds.
