Ingredients

500 g beef mince ( lean ground meat )
1 teaspoon garlic ( minced )
4 spring onions ( scallions very finely chopped )
10 capers ( finely chopped )
1 carrot ( finely grated )
1 zucchini ( finely grated )
1 egg
1/2 cup breadcrumbs ( dried )
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
1 tablespoon soy sauce
4 sheets puff pastry ( ours are about 23cm square pre-rolled )
1 egg ( lightly beaten for egg wash )

Instructions

1.Preheat oven to 200°C or 392°F.
2.In a large mixing bowl, combine the beef mince, garlic, spring onions, capers, grated carrot, grated zucchini, egg, breadcrumbs, Worcestershire sauce, and soy sauce.
3.Mix well with your hands.
4.Cut each sheet of puff pastry in half to create 8 pieces.
5.Divide the beef mixture into 8 portions and form each portion into a log shape.
6.Place each log shape of beef mixture in the center of each pastry square.
7.Brush the edges of the pastry with egg wash.
8.Fold the pastry over the beef mixture and press the edges to seal.
9.Place the beef gallosh into a baking tray.
10.Brush the tops of the pastry with egg wash.
11.Bake for 20-25 minutes or until the pastry is golden brown.
