Beef Brisket With Mop Sauce is a classic American BBQ dish that's been around for decades. The meat is rubbed with a spice mix and coated with a mop sauce, which is a thin BBQ sauce that's used to baste the meat as it cooks. The brisket is then slow-cooked in a smoker for 6-8 hours until it's tender and juicy. It's a perfect dish for a summer cookout or a casual dinner with friends and family.

Instructions

1.In a mixing bowl, whisk together all the mop sauce ingredients except the brisket.
2.Place the beef brisket on a sheet of aluminum foil, and pour a third of the mop sauce over it. Brush the sauce to fully coat the meat.
3.Wrap the brisket in the aluminum foil and refrigerate for at least 4 hours.
4.Preheat your smoker to 225°F. Remove the brisket from the fridge and place it on the smoker.
5.Cook the brisket for 6-8 hours, brushing it with the remaining mop sauce every hour or so.
6.Remove brisket from the smoker and allow it to rest for 30 minutes before slicing.

PROS

CONS

This dish requires a smoker and a significant amount of time to cook.

HEALTH & BENEFITS

Beef Brisket With Mop Sauce is not the healthiest dish out there, but it’s an excellent source of protein.
Brisket is a fatty cut of beef, but when cooked slowly, the fat renders down and makes the meat incredibly tender and flavorful.
