Beef brisket is a classic American dish that's often associated with barbeques and tailgating parties. This recipe takes the traditional flavors of slow-cooked brisket and gives it a spicy twist with chipotle peppers and tangy tomatillos. The result is a dish that's packed with flavor and perfect for sharing with friends and family. The smoky aroma of the brisket as it cooks in the oven will have everyone's mouths watering, and the chipotle tomatillo sauce adds a bold kick that's hard to resist. Serve this beef brisket with your favorite sides, like mashed potatoes or roasted vegetables.

Instructions

1.Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
2.In a blender, combine the tomatillos, chipotle peppers, tomato sauce, water, salt, and brown sugar. Blend until smooth.
3.In a large Dutch oven or oven-safe pot, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the onion and garlic and sauté until softened, about 5 minutes.
4.Place the beef brisket in the pot and pour the tomatillo sauce over the top, covering the brisket completely.
5.Cover the pot and place in the oven. Cook for 3-4 hours, or until the brisket is tender and falls apart easily.
6.Remove from the oven and let rest for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.
