Ingredients

3 tablespoons olive oil , divided
1/2 large onion , chopped
1 lb lean stewing beef , cubed
2 teaspoons ground cumin
2 teaspoons ground turmeric
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
2 1/2 cups water
5 tablespoons fresh flat-leaf parsley , chopped
3 tablespoons snipped chives
1 can kidney beans , drained and rinsed
1 lemon , juice of
1 tablespoon flour

Instructions

8.Pour the mixture into the pot, stir well and cook for an additional 5 minutes until thickened.
9.Season with salt and black pepper to taste.
