Ingredients

2 lbs ground beef
1 onion , diced
4 celery ribs , diced
1 bell pepper , diced ( small pepper )
1 can tomato sauce
1 can condensed tomato soup , undiluted
1 package wide egg noodles
2 cups cheddar cheese , shredded ( or more ! )
1 jar pimento-stuffed green olives , sliced
salt and pepper ( optional )
Beef and Noodle Casserole-Johnny Mosetti-'frojos' is a classic American dish that is perfect for a comforting family dinner. This casserole is made with ground beef, wide egg noodles, diced onions, celery, and bell pepper all cooked together in tomato sauce and tomato soup. Known also as Johnny Marzetti, this dish has a longer history than most casseroles and was originally created in the 1920s by Teresa Marzetti in Columbus, Ohio, for her restaurant. Instructions

1.Preheat the oven to 375°F.
2.Cook egg noodles according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
3.In a large skillet, brown the ground beef over medium heat until no longer pink. Drain any excess fat.
4.Add diced onions, celery and bell pepper to the skillet. Cook until vegetables are tender.
5.Stir in the tomato sauce and condensed tomato soup.
6.Add the cooked egg noodles to the skillet and stir until well combined.
7.Pour the mixture into a greased casserole dish and cover with grated cheddar cheese and sliced olives.
8.Bake in the oven for 25-30 minutes or until cheese is melted and bubbly.
9.Let cool for a few minutes before serving.
