Ingredients

2 slices bacon , chopped finely
1 lb ground beef
1 cup breadcrumbs
1 egg
3 green onions
1/4 cup coarsely chopped fresh flat-leaf parsley
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
2 tablespoons barbecue sauce
1 tablespoon canola oil
1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
2 cups beef stock
1 1/2 tablespoons cornstarch
2 tablespoons water

Instructions

1.Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).
2.Take a large bowl and add chopped bacon, ground beef, breadcrumbs, egg, green onions, chopped parsley, Worcestershire sauce, barbecue sauce, and Dijon mustard. Mix well.
3.Make eight balls out of it and flatten them into discs.
4.Heat oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add rissoles and cook until brown on each side.
5.Transfer them into a large baking dish and pour beef stock over them. Cover with aluminum foil.
6.Bake in the preheated oven for 15 minutes, uncover, and continue baking for another 15 minutes or until the internal temperature reaches at least 160 degrees F (70 degrees C).
7.Transfer rissoles to a serving dish and set aside.
8.In a small bowl, combine cornstarch and water. Stir until dissolved.
9.Add cornstarch mixture to the skillet and stir until thickened. Serve Gravy over the rissoles.
