4 thin slices rye bread
1 ounce unsalted butter
2 firm dessert pears
2 tablespoons lemon juice
2 ounces Stilton cheese or 2 ounces other blue cheese , rind removed

Barbecued Stilton Pears have a complex mix of flavors. The sweetly roasted pears contrast with the savory, creamy bite of the blue cheese. This recipe is a twist on a classic dessert pairing of pears and cheese, but with the added smoky flavor of the grill. The dish can be served as a starter or a main course, depending on the number of pear halves per person. It's a quick and simple dish with a touch of elegance that you can prepare in under 20 minutes!
