1 onion , chopped

1 can stewed tomatoes
1 small green bell pepper , seeded and chopped

1/3 cup sweet pickle relish
1/2 cup ketchup
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
salt and pepper , to taste
2 -3 teaspoons chili powder
1 teaspoon paprika
1 package cornbread mix ( or 1 recipe cornbread batter )

Instructions

1.Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
2.In a large skillet over medium-high heat, brown the ground beef with garlic and onion.
3.Drain off the fat and add in the stewed tomatoes, green bell pepper, celery, sweet pickle relish, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, salt and pepper, chili powder, and paprika. Cook for 5 minutes or until heated through.
4.Meanwhile, prepare the cornbread topping mix according to package directions or your own cornbread batter recipe.
5.Pour the beef mixture into a 9x13 inch greased baking dish and spoon the cornbread mixture over the beef, covering the top.
6.Bake for 25-30 minutes or until the cornbread is golden brown and a toothpick inserted into the center of the cornbread comes out clean. Let cool for 5 minutes before cutting and serving.
