Instructions

1.In a large pot, combine the crushed tomatoes, minced onion, chopped jalapeno peppers, ground cumin, salt and white sugar.
2.Add in the white vinegar, minced garlic, tomato sauce, tomato paste, ketchup and water.
3.Bring the mixture to a boil then reduce heat to low and let it simmer for 1 hour, stirring occasionally until the sauce thickens.
4.Allow the sauce to cool completely before transferring to a jar or bottle with a lid.
5.Store the sauce in the refrigerator for up to 4 months.
