Instructions

1.Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
2.In a bowl, mix together mashed bananas, shortening, butter, sugar, eggs, and vanilla until well blended.
3.In a separate bowl, mix together flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt and cinnamon.
4.Gradually mix the dry ingredients with the banana mixture until fully incorporated.
5.Fold in the chocolate chunks.
6.Pour the batter into a greased 9x5 inch (23x12 cm) loaf pan.
7.Bake for 60-70 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the bread comes out clean.
8.Let the bread cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack to cool completely.
