3.Using a knife, split the vanilla bean lengthwise and scrape out the seeds into the batter. Mix well.
4.Heat a nonstick skillet or griddle over medium heat. Spray with cooking spray.
5.Using a 1/4 cup as a measuring tool, pour pancake batter onto the heated skillet or griddle. Before flipping the pancake over, place a few slices of banana over the top of the pancake. Flip the pancake over and cook for an additional 30 seconds. Repeat with remaining batter.

PROS

Not only are these pancakes delicious but they’re also an upgrade from the traditional pancake recipe.
They contain sliced fresh bananas and vanilla beans which adds a level of flavor that can’t be found in a box mix.

Compared to traditional pancakes, this recipe uses reduced-fat milk instead of whole milk or cream, which reduces the calorie and fat count.

Banana and vanilla contain nutrients that have potential health benefits, which makes this recipe a tasty way to incorporate these fruits into your diet.

CONS

If you prefer your pancakes to be fluffy and thick, this recipe may not be for you.

Because this recipe uses low-fat milk and nonstick spray, it may leave the pancakes slightly dry and less filling without a fluffy batter.
