2 lbs potatoes
1 lb onion
1 lb sausage
1 teaspoon sage
1 teaspoon thyme
2 beef bouillon cubes or 3 teaspoons beef bouillon powder

However, this easier version can be whipped up in a jiffy but provides the same level of comfort and flavor as the original. This recipe calls for sliced onions and sausages but do feel free to substitute with other ingredients according to your liking. Instructions

1.Preheat oven to 375°F.
2.Peel and slice potatoes into thin rounds.
3.Slice onions and sausages.
4.In a large bowl, mix potatoes, onions, and sausage.
5.Add sage, thyme, bouillon cubes, salt, and pepper to the bowl and mix everything well.
6.Transfer everything to a baking dish and cover it with aluminum foil.
7.Bake for 45-50 minutes until the potato is soft.
8.Remove the foil and bake for another 15-20 minutes until the top is browned.
9.Remove from the oven and let it cool down for a few minutes.
10.Serve hot.
