1/4 lb sweet Italian sausage link , casings removed , crumbled ( we use hot sausage )
1 small onion , chopped
1 garlic clove , minced
3/4 teaspoon dried Italian seasoning , divided
1/4 teaspoon pepper
1 jar marinara sauce ( or your favorite homemade sauce )
1/4 cup red wine
1 container ricotta cheese
1 package shredded mozzarella cheese , divided
4 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley , divided

Instructions

1.Preheat the oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit.

10.Cover the dish with aluminum foil, and bake for 25 minutes.
11.Remove the foil, and bake for an additional 25 minutes, or until the cheese is golden brown and bubbly.
12.Let stand for 10 minutes before serving, then sprinkle with chopped fresh parsley.
