Ingredients

2 hot Italian sausages
2 cups heavy cream
1/2 cup chicken stock
1/2 cup pecorino romano cheese , grated
1/2 cup Fontina cheese , shredded
2 tablespoons ricotta cheese
2 jalapeno peppers , chopped
6 fresh sage leaves
1 teaspoon kosher salt
1 red pepper , thinly sliced
1 yellow pepper , thinly sliced
4 tablespoons butter , melted
1 lb penne rigate or 1 lb rotini pasta
Baked Pasta Piccante is a classic Italian dish that packs a bold flavor punch. Instructions

1.Preheat oven to 350 F.
2.Cook pasta according to the package directions, drain and set aside.
3.In the meantime, in a large skillet over medium-high heat, cook the sausages for 5-7 minutes until browned and crumbled, and then remove them from the skillet and set them aside.
4.In the same skillet, pour heavy cream and chicken stock, then add Pecorino Romano cheese, Fontina cheese, ricotta cheese, sage leaves, jalapeno peppers, and salt, stirring until the cheese has melted completely.
5.Add sliced red and yellow pepper into the skillet, then bring the mixture to a boil.
6.Return the sausages to the skillet and allow the mixture to simmer for around 5-6 minutes.
7.Transfer the mixture evenly into a baking dish, then top it with melted butter and bake it in the preheated oven for around 10 minutes.
8.Serve hot and enjoy!
