Ingredients

4 medium onions
2 ounces unsalted butter , softened
1 tablespoon freshly chopped parsley
1 tablespoon freshly chopped chives
1 tablespoon freshly chopped tarragon
salt and black pepper , to taste

Instructions

1.Preheat grill to high heat
2.Cut the top and bottom off each onion and remove the skin
3.Cut each onion in half, then each half into wedges, being careful not to cut too deep into the root
4.Mix the butter, parsley, chives, and tarragon in a small bowl
5.Place a small dollop of the herb butter on top of each onion wedge
6.Season with salt and pepper
7.Place the onions on the grill, cut side down
8.Grill for 5-7 minutes until charred and softened
9.Flip the onions and grill for an additional 2-3 minutes
10.Serve hot
