Instructions

1.In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour and salt. Make a well in the center.
2.In a saucepan, heat the milk and butter together until the butter has melted. Add the sugar and lemon rind. Remove from heat and pour the mixture into the well.
3.Sprinkle yeast over the milk mixture and let sit for 10 minutes. Add the eggs and mix well.
4.Knead the dough for 10 minutes until smooth. Cover and let rise for 1 hour.
5.In a separate mixing bowl, combine the nuts, sugar, milk, and lemon rind. Mix until evenly combined.
6.Preheat the oven to 180°C. Roll out the dough on a floured surface until thin and rectangular.
7.Spread the nut mixture evenly over the dough. Roll up the dough and place on a baking sheet.
8.Brush the beaten egg yolk over the top of the dough. Bake for 40-45 minutes until golden brown.
9.Allow to cool slightly before slicing and serving.
