Ingredients

1/4 cup butter
1/3 cup firmly packed light brown sugar

2 tablespoons light corn syrup

3/4 cup sifted cake flour ( Not self rising flour )
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 cup blanched slivered almond
3 ounces candied orange peel , finely chopped
3 ounces semisweet chocolate pieces
3 tablespoons butter

Instructions

1.Preheat oven to 350°F (180°C).

6.Drop mixture by half-teaspoons onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
7.Bake for 8-10 minutes or until golden brown.
8.Remove from oven and let cool completely.
9.Melt semisweet chocolate pieces and butter in a double boiler, and spread over the bottom of each Florentine.
10.Let stand until firm. Serve and enjoy!
