Instructions

1.Preheat the oven to 350°F.
2.In a large mixing bowl, whisk flour, ground almonds and 3/4 cup sugar.
3.In another mixing bowl, beat eggs and 1 tablespoon of strong black coffee together.
4.Mix the beaten eggs with the dry mixture in step 2 until well combined.
5.Pour the batter into a pre-greased 9-inch cake pan and spread it evenly on the surface.
6.Bake the cake for around 30 minutes and remove it from the oven.
7.Let the cake cool for 10 minutes and then remove it from the pan.
8.To make the cream, bring 3 egg yolks, 1/2 cup sugar, 1/2 cup butter and 1/2 cup of strong black mocha-flavored coffee to a boil in a saucepan under medium heat.
9.Mix continuously with a whisk until the cream thickens.
10.Spread the cream evenly over the cake, and let it cool for at least 2 hours.
